Perseid Meteor shower phenomenon of the constellation Perseus is expected to be seen in the air space tonight until dawn on tomorow.
Head of Space Science Research Unit, National Space Agency (Angkasa) MHD Fairos Asillam said Perseid meteor shower of the most attractive because of its light bright and can be seen with the naked eye in the open place.
"Meteor shower occurs when the Earth crosses the comet's path and cause this comet dust burns when entering the earth's atmosphere.
"For the Perseid meteor shower, it happens because the earth crosses the path of the comet Swift-Tuttle nucleus has a diameter of about 26 kilometers," he said in a statement.
He said that when the comet was closer to the sun, it also crosses the Earth's orbit and leave the comet dust along the way.
"Dust-dust ones who will enter the Earth's atmosphere and produce showers of meteors can be seen with the naked eye," he said.
He said the best time saw the meteor shower is after moonset from 11pm. - Bernama, August 11, 2013.
So tonight, I was stand in the darkness to watch the Perseid Meteor shower, Patiently waiting until 1 am, but sadly i saw nothing and at the end a water shower appear. Its raining... :)
