Yesterday, 8 March 2014, Saturday, the lost of a Boeing 777-200 aircraft owned by Malaysia Airlines was shocked Malaysians and all over the world. It became world news headlines and trending in social media . Here are some of the developments that happened on yesterday.

1. Flight #MH370 was carrying 239 passengers, including two infants and 12 crew . 

2. Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing lost contact with Air Traffic Control Centre Subang about 2:40 am , early on 8 March 2014.

3. MAS has posted a list of the passengers and crew missing MH370 .

4. Malaysia Airlines said in a statement to inform the Boeing 777 that take off from Kuala Lumpur at 12:41 am Saturday and is expected to land in Beijing at 6:30 in the morning. 

5. At 10.30 am , the MAS issued a press statement that they are trying to contact family members of 239 passengers and crew of flight. 

6. MAS Group CEO , Ahmad Jauhari also confirmed passengers from 15 countries, including China , Indonesia , Australia , France , and Malaysia . 

7. Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said in a press conference that the legitimacy of the Vietnamese media reports claiming the crash was confirmed by the Royal Malaysian Navy Vietnam . 

8. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has also confirmed no plane wreckage found in sea MH370 south of the country , as reported previously . He also denied that there is hijacking attempt . 

9. Department of Civil Aviation , said media reports on two patches of oil were found in the waters of Vietnam are still being confirmed.

10. At the same time , the Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad asked the public to stop speculating on the events following some speculation on Twitter .

11. Some national politicians use Twitter to urge people to pray for the well-being of the passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines MH370.
